A documentary about those who answered the call.....

Two Generations of Patriots

"A Date With Infamy" is a feature length documentary film that pays tribute and honors those heroes, young and old, who volunteered for the Armed Forces when America was attacked.

On December 7, 1941 the Japanese Empire secretly attacked the Air and Naval bases located in the Hawaiian Islands. This surprise attack cost the lives of nearly 3000 Americans.

Immediately following this attack millions of brave young men and women volunteered for the Armed Forces to defend their country against the enemy. A select few were to become Army, Navy and Marine pilots.

Another attack. Another generation of patriots

60 years later on September 11, 2001, the United States was again attacked by foreign powers intent on destroying America and taking over the world. As before, nearly 3000 Americans, and citizens of foreign countries, would pay the initial sacrifice in a war against terror.

Again, brave young men and women signed up to join the fight against tyranny.

Patriotism is the common bond that links these two generations of Veterans. A love for flying is what made them become pilots. Although the aircraft may have changed, these aviators, young and old, realized they had "A Date With Infamy."

    Freedom is not free.

    Bad Leadership

In 1941 Democratic President FDR had won his THIRD run for office despite the precedent set by the United States' first freely elected president George Washington who declined a third term because the U.S. did not need another "king." America was suffering from the Great Depression and after 8 years in office FDR was unable to get the U.S. back on its feet. His "New Deal," which included "free money" to farmers and homeowners and higher taxes on the "rich" (91% to 100% on incomes over $25,000) was a total failure and only drove the country deeper into debt.

    Ignoring War Is Not Peace

FDR cut the military budget by 30% and left the U.S. with its pants down. The total U.S. military only numbered 330,000 people, 488 machine guns, 235 cannons and 28 tanks. The military trained with wooden guns, beer cans for artillery shells and potatoes as grenades. FDR's promise to keep the U.S. out of the war was also not long lived.

The United States was aware of an emanate attack but were unsure of the time or place. The U.S. was also ill prepared for any attack because of denial and years of military spending cuts. Some anti-American claims were that the U.S. "deserved" to be attacked for not selling oil to Japan or supporting them in their war against China and the Allies, or that the U.S. Government knew, or was directly involved in, the attack.

    Volunteers Make a Country Strong

    Evil Is Not A Consensus

Despite the uneducated conspiracy theories, millions of brave patriotic men and women signed up and volunteered for the Armed Forces. The "Axis of Evil" showed the world that evil does exist and it will not go away by ignoring it or conceding to it.

After years of military cuts and political correctness run amuck, the U.S. was again attacked by foreign powers set on controlling the world., a collective of Muslim extremists hijacked American commercial jets and flew them into American buildings full of innocent people. As before, nearly 3000 Americans, and citizens of dozens of other countries, were murdered.

Anti American groups claim it was an inside job by the U.S. government, or that the thousands of innocent lives deserved to be slaughtered because of U.S. foreign policies that seek to improve the lives of people around the globe.

    Peace Through Strength

Regardless of independent beliefs, whether the U.S. government "allowed" these attacks to happen to raise support for going to war, or America was attacked by evil forces after years of planning, the result was the same. True patriots understand that domestic squabbles can be set aside when the nation is attacked.

The truth is Japan, Germany and Italy were attacking their neighbors and fighting a war before we got there.

The truth is, Muslim terror groups were bombing and attacking embassies, ships, commercial planes and nightclubs around the world before we went after them.

The truth is, as long as evil people try to take away our freedom, (Real) Americans will stand against them.
